Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate in Lufkin, TX, onsite at a hospital. You will guide uninsured patients through Medicaid and financial assistance programs, working face-to-face with patients in their hospital rooms.

The role requires fluent Spanish and English, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. You will collaborate with hospital staff and government agencies to secure coverage for patients in need.

Qualifications

• Fluent bilingual in English and Spanish for direct patient interaction.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare environment preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal/state programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document case details accurately in MPower and hospital systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and participate in ongoing trainings.
• Maintain work queue and coordinate with hospital staff and agencies.
• Communicate with patients and government agencies in a timely manner.
• Assist with gathering documents and arranging transportation as needed.
