Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is hiring a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate in San Antonio, TX. This full-time, onsite role involves guiding uninsured patients through federal, state, and county medical or disability programs, face-to-face in hospital rooms, to determine eligibility and assist with applications.

The position aims to screen 98% of patients at bedside with English and Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly in both English and Spanish, both orally and in writing.
• Experience with government programs or hospital-based patient assistance is a plus.
• Adaptability to changing processes, computer systems, and government programs.
• Professional experience working with state and federal programs is preferred.
• Strong multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for assistance.
• Complete applications and track through approval processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in MPower and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Communicate with hospital staff, case managers, and social workers to assist patients.
