Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate to work onsite at a Humble, TX hospital. The Sunday–Thursday, 9 AM to 6 PM schedule places you in patient rooms guiding uninsured individuals through financial assistance programs.

The role involves evaluating eligibility, completing applications, and coordinating with hospital staff and government agencies, using English and Spanish to ensure smooth and timely support.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish to communicate with patients and agencies.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience with government programs or healthcare affordability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal, state, and/or county medical or disability assistance.
• Complete the appropriate applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in MPower and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Attend ongoing trainings to apply updated rules and procedures.
• Maintain assigned work queue of patient accounts.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
• Answer calls and track enrollment and renewal for Medicaid patients.
• Inform clients of approvals and denials in a timely manner.
• Assist with gathering documents and arranging transportation if needed.
