Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) to coordinate bed assignments and manage patient transfers. The role requires collaboration with ED, inpatient units, and surgical services to optimize patient flow and care levels.

The BCTC RN will document transfers, work with House Supervisors and referring physicians, and ensure timely, safe bed placement across departments.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3–5 years RN experience in acute care.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
• Charge nurse or higher leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital (PAH).
• Evaluate, coordinate, and document patient transfers into PAH.
• Collaborate with ED, inpatient units, and surgical services to facilitate patient flow.
• Assess patients for appropriate level of care and bed placement.
