Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) to coordinate and assign beds and oversee patient transfers into PAH. The role partners with ED, inpatient units, physicians and surgical services to maintain smooth patient flow and optimal bed placement.

You will evaluate appropriate levels of care, document transfers, and use problem-solving and customer-service skills to support patients, families, and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• 3–5 years RN experience in acute care required.
• Experience in critical care or emergency/trauma preferred.
• Proficient with EPIC EMR platform required.
• Charge nurse or higher leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and assigns beds and manages patient transfers into PAH.
• Evaluates, coordinates, screens and documents transfers for PAH.
• Collaborates with ED, inpatient units, surgical services and referring physicians to optimize patient flow.
• Assesses patients for appropriate level of immediate care and bed placement.
