Job summary

The Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital coordinates and assigns all beds to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal bed placement across acute care units. This role collaborates with ED, inpatient units, physicians, and surgical services to evaluate transfers and document outcomes.

The BCTC RN uses problem solving and customer service to determine the best course of action for patients and the hospital, while ensuring compliance with hospital policy

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3–5 years RN in an acute care setting required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• GA RN licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure required.
• BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assigns all beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital (PAH).
• Evaluate, coordinate, process, screen, and document patient transfers into PAH.
• Collaborate with physician offices, ED, inpatient units, surgical services and procedural areas to facilitate patient flow.
