Responsibilities

• Register inpatients and outpatients and obtain required forms and signatures.
• Interact with parents, patients, physicians and staff, under moderate supervision, in a courteous manner.
• Contact payers to obtain precertification, co-pay and deductible information.
• Notify patients of required co-pays or deductibles.
• Assign beds to patients and update bed status in systems.
• Maintain waiting list of patients to be admitted and report status to physicians.
