Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• 2–3 years clinical nursing experience required.
• Level I ED and/or ICU experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient flow and bed management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Elicits patient information from referring physicians and outside facility nurses for appropriate triage and placement.
• Use triage tools and algorithms with patient access services to transfer patients within clinically appropriate timeframes.
• Serve as a liaison to ensure continuity of care for patient and family and assist financial navigator.
• Perform initial nursing assessment including intake, history, and educational needs.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to enable complete and safe patient care decisions.
• Document visit reasons, tests ordered, referrals, and current medications.
