Job summary

Nordstrom Houston is seeking a customer-focused Beauty Advisor to perform makeup applications and skincare analyses while recommending products that align with each customer’s goals. You will work with a passionate team to create a welcoming, inclusive environment and drive sales using in-store and digital tools.

You will also manage vendor events, build strong relationships with brand partners, and keep the department organized and customer-ready.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle concerns and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer goals.
• Collaborate with team to create a welcoming environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools.
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results.
• Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness.
• Stay updated on beauty trends and products through trainings.
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
