Job summary

R.R. Cassidy is seeking a Lead Estimator in Beaumont, TX. You will direct the estimating function for assigned markets, set bid strategy and own final cost, risk and pricing recommendations on electrical, utility and infrastructure projects.

You will lead a team of estimators, review takeoffs and bids for accuracy, and present estimates to senior management for approval. Office-based with periodic travel to sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction estimating experience.
• 3+ years leading estimators or major pursuits.
• At least 5 years in electrical, utility or infrastructure work.
• Proficient with estimating software (Bluebeam/Adobe) and Excel.
• Ability to read electrical, civil and structural drawings and specs.
• Beaumont office availability Monday–Friday 7AM–5PM and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of estimators; set bid schedules and balance workload across concurrent bids.
• Review takeoffs, pricing and bid packages for accuracy, completeness and consistency before submission.
• Establish and enforce estimating standards, templates, checklists and quality-control procedures.
• Evaluate pursuit opportunities with business development and leadership; recommend bid/no-bid decisions and pricing strategy.
• Present estimates, risks and recommended pricing to senior management for approval.
