Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking a highly motivated Estimator for our Beaumont, TX office to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for electrical utility, renewable energy, and solar construction projects. You will lead the estimating process from bid review through proposal submission, collaborating with operations, project management, engineering, vendors, and subcontractors to win work.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of estimating experience in electrical utility construction or renewables.
• Experience managing estimates for projects from $50K to $10M+.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, specs, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process from bid review to proposal submission.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Solicit and negotiate vendor/subcontractor quotes to ensure coverage and value.
• Perform pre-bid activities, site visits, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with operations, project management, and engineering on bid strategy.
• Prepare bid packages with pricing summaries and exclusions.
• Support turnover from estimating to operations.
