Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) seeks a Beacon Director to lead the George Washington Carver Elementary School program, overseeing school-day and after-school enrichment for TK–5 students. You will partner with SFUSD, families, and community groups to provide integrated academic, social, and behavioral supports.

You will supervise a team, manage budgets and MOUs, and drive data-driven decisions to close achievement gaps while ensuring program quality and safety in a large urban

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of leadership experience in a human services or education-related organization.
• AA degree or higher OR 48 college units or equivalent OR CBEST/High school diploma-equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, manage, lead, and motivate a team.
• Strong leadership skills, including negotiation, problem-solving, delegation, and decision-making.
• Experience with school systems (SFUSD) and youth development programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and oversight for TK-5th grade youth development and after-school programs.
• Collaborate with school leadership, SFUSD, and partners to align services and use data to adjust programming.
• Supervise staff and ensure high-quality program operations across school day and afterschool.
• Develop MOUs, contracts, and budgets in line with policies and requirements.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure program activities meet ExCEL and Beacon Initiative standards.
• Lead partnership outreach and track participant outcomes.
