Job summary

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco is seeking a Program Leader to develop and oversee a range of academic and enrichment activities for middle school youth at the SF Beacon Center. You will design curricula that blend skill-building with project-based learning in engaging formats.

Under supervision, you will provide tutoring, manage classrooms with restorative practices, and collaborate with schools and families to celebrate youth achievements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or must have completed 48 college units.
• Experience planning and facilitating enrichment activities for youth.
• Classroom management, conflict mediation, and restorative practices a plus.
• Experience with ethnically diverse youth from high-need backgrounds a plus.
• Ability to develop, implement, and organize programs and events.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Capable of multitasking, working independently, and meeting deadlines.
• Familiar with Google Docs & Sheets, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee activities for middle school youth.
• Provide academic tutoring and assist with homework.
• Maintain a safe learning environment with restorative practices.
• Create marketing strategies and materials to recruit youth.
• Coordinate cultural celebrations and culminating events with staff.
• Maintain communication with school personnel and families.
• Assist with data collection and program reports.
• Support evaluation data collection for funders.
• Attend staff meetings and training opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of program spaces.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
