Job summary

Simple Mining is hiring a Business Development Representative in New York, NY. You will open doors with neocloud providers and AI companies, staff conferences, and qualify opportunities for our turnkey data center and AI compute offerings.

You’ll travel for industry events, maintain a proactive CRM workflow, and hand high-potential leads to our founders and senior BD leaders. A self-directed, remote-capable candidate with strong phone skills will thrive.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years in business development, sales development, inside sales or account management.
• Comfortable picking up the phone and making outbound calls.
• Energized by travel and in-person networking; follows up quickly.
• CRM maintenance using HubSpot, Salesforce or similar.
• Self-directed and comfortable working remotely on a small team.
• Bonus points: data centers, AI/GPU cloud, colocation, power or energy; conference/event sales.

Responsibilities

• Open doors: Prospect and cold-call neocloud providers, AI companies and capital partners.
• Work the room: Travel to industry conferences several times a month; staff our booth and secure meetings.
• Run the first call: Learn needs, qualify the opportunity and hand to founders and senior BD leaders.
• Own the follow-up: Move relationships forward in the CRM; ensure next steps.
• Learn the build: Track conversations on long-lead equipment where timing matters.
