Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque is seeking team members to help prepare and serve smoked meats with a focus on accuracy and guest satisfaction. This role requires a Food Handler Certificate before day 1 and prior food handling or customer service experience is preferred.

Expect physical tasks, safety standards, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds while contributing to a clean, organized workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required before day 1.
• Previous food handling experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates well with guests to ensure accuracy of order and guest satisfaction.
• Communicates with management when meat items need replenished.
• Helps prepare orders and ensures accuracy of each order.
• Utilizes safe and efficient knife skills to cut and package smoked meats to order.
• weighs meats to exact specifications.
• Accurately completes transfer sheets.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization.
• Observes safety and security standards.
