Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque in Texas is expanding its team. We seek reliable kitchen staff to help prepare orders, ensure accuracy, and maintain cleanliness while delivering friendly, Texas-style hospitality.

Responsibilities include communicating with guests and management, weighing and packaging smoked meats, and adhering to safety standards. A Food Handler Certificate is required before day one, with prior food handling and customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• Prior food handling experience preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Communicates well with guests to ensure accuracy of order and guest satisfaction.
• Communicates with management when meat items need replenished.
• Helps prepare orders and ensures accuracy of each order.
• Utilizes safe and efficient knife skills to cut and package smoked meats to order.
• Weighs meats to exact specifications.
• Accurately completes transfer sheets.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization.
• Observes safety and security standards.
