Job summary

Southside Market & Bbq in Leander, TX is hiring team members who value authentic barbecue and outstanding customer service. You will help ensure accurate orders, assist with meat preparation, and keep work areas clean and organized.

A Food Handler Certificate is required before day one. Prior food handling and customer service experience are preferred. Fluency in English and basic math are essential, as is the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a busy, moderate to loud environment.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required before day 1.
• Prior food handling experience preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Noise level is usually moderate to loud.

Responsibilities

• Communicates well with guests to ensure accuracy of order and satisfaction.
• Communicates with management when meat items need replenished.
• Helps prepare orders and ensures accuracy of each order.
• Uses knife skills to cut and package smoked meats to order.
• Weighs meats to exact specifications.
• Completes transfer sheets accurately.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization.
• Observes safety and security standards.
