Job summary

Southside Market & BBQ in Leander, TX, is hiring for a full-time position in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will assist with food preparation, ensure order accuracy, and maintain cleanliness while providing excellent guest service.

The role requires a Food Handler Certificate before day 1, plus prior food handling and customer service experience. English fluency is essential; lifting up to 40 pounds is occasionally required. Join our team and contribute to our Texas hospitality legacy.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• Previous food handling experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• While performing the duties of this job, stand/walk; lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicates well with guests to ensure accuracy of order and guest satisfaction.
• Communicates with management when meat items need replenished.
• Helps prepare orders and ensures accuracy of each order.
• Utilizes safe and efficient knife skills to cut and package smoked meats to order.
• Weighs meats to exact specifications.
• Accurately completes transfer sheets.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization.
