Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque is seeking team members to join our BBQ kitchen and front-of-house staff in Texas. You’ll help prepare orders, weigh meats, and ensure accurate transfers while delivering warm, Texas-friendly hospitality.

Successful candidates will hold a Food Handler Certificate and have prior food handling or customer service experience, plus strong English communication and basic math skills. Physical stamina is required for standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and fast-paced shifts.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• Previous food handling experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Practical problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates well with guests to ensure accuracy of order and guest satisfaction.
• Communicates with management when meat items need replenished.
• Helps prepare orders and ensures accuracy of each order.
• Utilizes safe and efficient knife skills to cut and package smoked meats to order.
• Weighs meats to exact specifications.
• Accurately completes transfer sheets.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization.
• Observes safety and security standards.
