Job summary

Sares Regis Group of Northern California seeks a mid-level Project Engineer to support construction across two attached and detached home communities in the SF Bay Area. You will provide technical and administrative support through the full construction lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout.

The role requires 2–4 years of residential construction experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management, and Procore proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 2–4 years of residential construction or land development experience.
• Procore proficiency required; familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project, and MS Office preferred.
• Working knowledge of CA building codes, Title 24 energy standards, CALGreen.
• SF Bay Area market experience preferred.
• Strong communication with team, client, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support permitting, submittal tracking, and coordination with architects and engineers.
• Develop and maintain standard details for residential projects.
• Generate subcontractor interest and prepare takeoffs and estimates.
• Prepare bid packages, level bids, and maintain project budgets.
• Review drawings, use BIM as standard, and manage project docs in Procore.
• Assist with schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and closeout activities.
• Conduct regular jobsite walks for progress, safety, and QA/QC.
