Job summary

Propel Recruitment LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to join the construction team supporting active residential development on the San Francisco Peninsula. You will report to the Vice President of Construction and collaborate with project management, development professionals, general contractors, and field teams.

The role focuses on assisting with coordination, documentation, RFIs/submittals, and milestone tracking, with opportunities to grow ownership of project responsibilities as experience

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant construction or project engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Experience with a general contractor, developer or owner-builder strongly preferred.
• Residential construction experience, including multifamily or high-end residential, is particularly relevant.
• Understanding of construction processes, terminology and project documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both field and office-based teams.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the desire to learn and take on increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and VP of Construction across active construction projects
• Serve as a key liaison between the ownership team, general contractor and field teams
• Assist with day-to-day project coordination, documentation and communication
• Track project schedules, deliverables, open items and construction milestones
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders and other construction documentation
• Participate in project meetings and help drive follow-up and accountability
• Coordinate with superintendents, contractors, consultants and internal development professionals
• Help identify project issues and ensure information reaches the appropriate stakeholders
• Support project reporting and maintain organized, accurate project records
• Develop increasing ownership of project responsibilities as experience grows
