Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a BESS Technician to support operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of utility-scale battery energy storage systems. You will work hands-on with electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient battery storage facilities.

You will interface with battery units, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and control systems, applying your experience in electrical maintenance and high-voltage work to minimize downtime and optimize

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical, industrial maintenance, power generation, renewable energy, or similar technician experience.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Comfortable working around medium- and/or high-voltage electrical equipment.
Experience reading electrical prints and schematics.
Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, controls, networking, or industrial communication systems is a plus.
Previous BESS, solar, inverter, or power-conversion experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Support operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of utility-scale BESS.
Work hands-on with electrical and controls equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient battery storage facilities.
Work around equipment such as battery units, inverters, transformers, switchgear, control systems, and communications equipment.
