Insight Global is seeking a BESS Technician to support operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of utility-scale battery energy storage systems. You will work hands-on with electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient battery storage facilities.

You will interface with battery units, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and control systems, applying your experience in electrical maintenance and high-voltage work to minimize downtime and optimize

Competenze

• 2+ years of electrical, industrial maintenance, power generation, renewable energy, or similar technician experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working around medium- and/or high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Experience reading electrical prints and schematics.
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, controls, networking, or industrial communication systems is a plus.
• Previous BESS, solar, inverter, or power-conversion experience is highly preferred.

Job Description

The BESS Technician will support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This individual will work hands-on with electrical and controls equipment to ensure battery storage facilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

The technician will work around equipment such as battery units, inverters/power conversion systems, transformers, switchgear, control systems, communications equipment, and other electrical infrastructure associated with energy-storage facilities.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of electrical, industrial maintenance, power generation, renewable energy, or similar technician experience.

Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.Comfortable working around medium- and/or high-voltage electrical equipment.

Experience reading electrical prints and schematics.Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, controls, networking, or industrial communication systems is a plus.

Previous BESS, solar, inverter, or power-conversion experience is highly preferred.Someone from solar O&M, power generation, substation maintenance, industrial electrical maintenance, or inverter/UPS field service could transfer well.
