Nextpower is seeking a skilled BESS Technician to join our service team onsite in Southern California. The role involves installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining Battery Energy Storage Systems, with a focus on high‑power electrical systems, inverters, and EMS integrations.

You will collaborate with project engineers, provide hands-on technical support, and adhere to safety standards while ensuring system performance and reliability for utility-scale projects.

Competenze

• Assoc degree or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience with battery storage systems.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred; electrician or energy technician cert is a plus.
• Experience with renewable inverter maintenance is a plus.

Mansioni

• Install BESS components such as batteries, inverters, control systems, and associated electrical equipment.
• Perform commissioning and configuration of BESS systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Collaborate with project engineers for seamless EMS integration.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot to ensure reliability of BESS equipment.
• Monitor systems via SCADA and evaluate performance to optimize efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and local/industry standards.
