Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc, a Black & Veatch company, seeks an experienced Construction Manager for a Mississippi Battery Storage project. You will coordinate field activities, lead craft teams, and ensure schedules, safety, cost control, and quality are met.

You will collaborate with project staff, subcontractors, and client representatives, travel to sites as required, and uphold safety and quality standards while driving continuous improvement across the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years construction supervisory experience required.
• OSHA Training.
• Ability to travel to project sites.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead site construction teams to deliver Substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) work.
• Support schedule execution, safety, cost control, and quality.
• Develop staffing plans and cost estimates for projects.
• Coordinate with EH&S for safety programs on battery storage.
• Review timesheets and progress reports; manage field issues.
