Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a hands-on laboratory professional to set up and run test equipment for automotive testing in Auburn Hills, MI. You will build and adapt test setups, read blueprints and schematics, follow test plans, and record results with minimal supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (associate/trade preferred), strong electrical knowledge, and teamwork. On-site work with customers is common, plus ongoing equipment maintenance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate or trade school preferred.
• Prior automotive testing experience is highly preferred.
• Strong electrical knowledge and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run equipment and test setups for clients.
• Build or adapt setup and test equipment for performance of tests.
• Examine test samples, read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Follow defined test plans and datasheets to conduct tests.
• Record and explain test results and complete test reports.
• May direct staff in test setups and supervise as needed.
• Communicate with customers during setup to ensure proper evaluation.
