Job summary

Interstate Batteries in California is seeking a Route Service Manager to deliver batteries along a dedicated route, provide outstanding customer service, and partner with dealers to optimize product placements and warranties.

You will load and unload trucks, maintain accurate inventory, follow safety rules, and build lasting relationships while meeting deadlines and contributing to dealer retention.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of delivery and customer service experience.
• Must read, write and compute basic math with accuracy.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools (tablets, scanners) required.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver batteries and provide service to each dealer on your route in a safe and timely manner.
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies.
• Load and unload trucks safely and maintain an accurate account of all company assets.
• Establish, build, and maintain dealer relationships.
• Keep displays and product clean, full, and rotated per consignment agreements.
• Accountable for managing a dealer account, including sales, consignment, warranties, rotates, cash collection, and invoicing.
• Complete delivery/route transactions and other paperwork on a timely basis.
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders, including team members, managers, and customers.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by manager.
