Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a customer-focused dispatcher to manage high-priority requests and coordinate our hot-shot drivers. You will be the frontline for dealers' needs, balancing invoices and ensuring timely battery supply, while providing courteous service to walk-in customers.

This role also involves warehouse tasks and close collaboration with office staff to keep operations running smoothly in a demanding battery distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and internet use.
• Knowledge of local geography and area.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in telephone or dispatch operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming phone calls in a professional manner and dispatch hot-shot requests in a timely fashion.
• Manage hot-shot drivers to deliver efficient service.
• Attend to walk-in customers, providing courteous service and battery information.
• Handle and balance invoices generated.
• Follow-up with largest customers weekly to ensure satisfaction and adequate battery supply.
• Perform warehouse duties including stocking shelves, labeling, charging/testing batteries, and cleaning.
