Job summary

Toyota’s Battery Production Engineering team in Liberty, NC is hiring a Controls Engineer to set up and verify data analytics systems for battery manufacturing. You will manage data collection through internal controls, train NAMC members, and support SOP launches with cross-functional teams.

You will configure PLCs and network interfaces, build visualizations for line status, and help ensure safe, efficient production while coordinating with global colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with manufacturing exposure.
• Strong PLC reading, interpretation and modification skills.
• Experience with networked data collection in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and verify systems for battery data analytics and SOP launches.
• Develop and document internal control requirements for data collection.
• Train NAMC team members on the implemented systems.
• Configure PLCs and network connections for MES and MOM interfaces.
• Create intuitive visualizations for line status and health indicators.
• Maintain servers and support long-term network system operation.
• Collaborate across functions and international teams to meet project goals.
• Monitor schedules and drive progress while reporting status to management.
