Job summary

MSI Express is seeking a Batcher to blend products to exact customer and plant standards, then deliver batches to fillers. The role requires strict adherence to recipes, GMP, and lot controls, with responsibility for line readiness and quality during each run.

The ideal candidate will operate batching room and thermal units, monitor product quality, and maintain a clean, safe work area while documenting run details and downtime. This is a full-time position at MSI Express.

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions and posted warning signs.
• Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to operate equipment safely.
• Ability to load/unload, lift/move equipment/product up to 50 pounds.
• Must complete OSHA Powered Industrial Equipment training and pass tests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product sent to filler is made according to an approved recipe with proper GMP and lot control.
• Coordinate staging of ingredients and equipment to keep the line supplied and avoid stopping the line.
• Operate batching room equipment and thermal units with understanding of limitations.
• Understand quality requirements of products and materials used during runs.
• Make adjustments to equipment according to formula standards.
• Keep batching room and staging areas clean and free of debris.
• Rinse and store drums and containers in designated areas.
• Report deviations from standard acceptable limits to line lead hand or supervisor.
• Maintain production schedule accuracy and record run details (lot number, line speeds, etc.).
• Maintain visual inspections as per product standards.
• Log downtime and submit at end of shift.
• Follow all company policies and safety practices.
• Report food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform other duties as instructed by management.
