Job summary

The Central Lincoln County YMCA is seeking a Basketball Programs Instructor to lead youth classes and clinics, and promote healthy living and social responsibility within our community in Maine.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, CPR and First Aid certification within 60 days of hire, and strong interpersonal skills. A High School diploma or GED is required, with dependable computer skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Team player with superb interpersonal skills and ability to engage with staff, participants and community.
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• General computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Teaches basketball classes and clinics to various age groups and starts in November.
• Works with the Program & Summer Camp Director to promote healthy living and youth development.
• Collaborates to create and execute basketball programs and curriculum while ensuring safety and quality.
• Prepares for programs, sets up equipment, and maintains a welcoming environment.
• Maintains attendance records and assists with administrative tasks.
