Job summary

Central Lincoln County YMCA is seeking a Music & Movement Instructor to lead classes on Saturday mornings and develop engaging music programs for children and families within a community-centered YMCA. You will work closely with senior staff to promote healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development.

The role requires 3–5 years in a related field, CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Team player with superb interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff and the public.
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task, work independently, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Music & Movement classes at the Y on Saturday mornings.
• Collaborates with the Program & Summer Camp Director to promote healthy living and youth development.
• Creates music programs/curriculum for YMCA while ensuring safety and standards.
• Leads program preparation, setup, and delivery in a structured, positive environment.
• Supervises participants during class and fosters positive social skills.
• Maintains clean, safe environments and assists with setup and equipment.
