Job summary

YMCA of Greater Cleveland is seeking a program instructor to provide age-appropriate sports programs and guide branch activities. You will implement program plans, supervise gym sites, and model YMCA values in every lesson.

You will maintain clean facilities, monitor safety, complete reporting, and participate in trainings. The role requires at least a high school diploma and one year of youth programming experience, with CPR/First Aid within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in youth programming or sports.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 90 days of hire; Bloodborne Pathogen training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate sports programs and branch activities.
• Incorporate YMCA Character Development values into lessons.
• Maintain attendance records and participant skill progress.
• Ensure gym areas are clean and hazards addressed.
• Follow YMCA safety, medical, and harassment policies; complete required reporting.
