The Plaistow YMCA, part of the YMCA of the North Shore, is seeking a Basketball Specialist to lead classes, clinics, leagues, camps, and events. You will deliver YMCA-approved curriculum that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship while fostering a fun, inclusive environment for all ages and skill levels.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or coursework in Recreation, Education, Health Sciences, Youth Development, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience coaching basketball or leading youth sports programs.
• Experience working with children and teens in sports, recreation, camp, or educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead basketball classes, clinics, leagues, camps, and events.
• Deliver YMCA-approved curriculum focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Create an inclusive, positive environment enabling participants of all levels to succeed.
• Stay current with coaching techniques and basketball trends to boost engagement.
