Job summary

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Team player with superb interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter capable of multi-tasking and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Promotes healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development.
• Works with supervisor to create and implement procedures and/or programs and/or curriculum.
• Delivers safe, quality programming; plans activities and lessons; sets up materials; cleans up afterwards.
• Supervises and engages participants; report behavior concerns to Thrive coordinator.
• Maintains a clean and safe program environment and keeps storage areas organized.
• Ensures proper hygiene and sanitization; handwashing; sanitizing food prep and toys.
• Checks children in at drop-off and out at guardian pick-up per policy.
• Follows DHHS Childcare Licensing rules.
• Builds authentic relationships with participants; connects participants to the YMCA.
• As a Mandated Reporter, reports signs of abuse or neglect to supervisor and authorities.
