Job summary

Harris Companies is a national mechanical contractor seeking a Building Automation Project Sales Rep to drive revenue growth through targeted sales activities for building automation projects. You will develop innovative solutions, manage existing relationships, prospect new opportunities, and align systems with customer goals.

The role emphasizes hands-on BAS and HVAC expertise, accurate scopes of work, detailed project estimates, and professional proposals.

Qualifications

HVAC and BAS knowledge including how components work together to drive building performance
Ability to read construction drawings, submittals, and jobsite conditions
Strong consultative and solution development capabilities
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

Drive revenue growth through targeted sales activities for building automation projects
Own front-end planning by developing scopes of work for new and retrofit projects
Build detailed project estimates including sizing, quantities, labor, materials and total cost
Balance technical performance with customer budgets and ROI to deliver cost-effective solutions
Develop proposals and lead consultative solution presentations
Maintain Harris CRM to keep pipeline clean and actionable
Expand account value through cross-selling of controls, service agreements and mechanical work
Represent Harris with professionalism and integrity in all interactions
