Job summary

Jobot, a leading provider of building automation, security systems and energy services, is hiring a Project Manager in Boston, MA. You will lead BAS projects from planning through completion, coordinating with engineers, technicians, and vendors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires deep BAS knowledge and strong leadership to drive project success, with responsibilities including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and client communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related construction environments.
• Solid understanding of BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, and Distech.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for managing teams and client interactions.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and contracts for mid-size to large-scale projects.
• PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of BAS projects, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and client communication.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to confirm compliance with scope, quality standards, and industry codes.
• Provide clear direction to field teams, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Maintain strong client relationships through consistent updates, problem-solving, and project transparency.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues quickly to minimize delays or cost overruns.
• Oversee commissioning and closeout activities, ensuring system performance meets design intent and client expectations.
