Job summary

Turning Stone Enterprises is hiring a Bartender to deliver exceptional service at the bar within our resort and casino complex. Day and Swing Shift options are available, with starting pay rate of $10.70 per hour plus tips.

You will greet guests, mix cocktails, stock the bar, and ensure compliance with policies while contributing to a lively, guest-focused atmosphere. Join a large hospitality operation known for its diverse venues, with opportunities for advancement and participant in promotions

Qualifications

• Prior experience in alcohol beverage service.
• Knowledge of liquor service standards and responsible service techniques.
• Ability to complete alcohol service training.
• Working knowledge of ID checks and falsified IDs.
• Proficiency in counting money and giving correct change.
• Excellent interpersonal communication.
• Ability to ring in orders and settle checks using a POS system.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to create a positive guest experience and encourage repeat business.
• Sta nding/walking for long periods and lifting up to 75 lbs.

As a Bartender, you'll use your skills and personality to deliver exceptional service at the bar. Elevate the guest experience to new heights as they indulge in the wide array of amenities we proudly offer!

What will you do as a Bartender?

• Provide excellent guest service and greet guests by name.
• Stock beer, soda, liquor, glassware, and paper products at the start and end of each shift.
• Make cocktails according to specifications and offer drink recommendations.
• Keep the bar area clean and wash bar dishes.
• Know the location of all necessary items and use a checklist to ensure everything is stocked.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and stay informed about promotions and events.
• Enter all drink orders into the POS system accurately.
• Use FLAG protocol when serving alcohol to guests under 35.
• Adhere to all policies and laws.
• Identify signs of intoxication and stop service appropriately.
• Ensure TVs are tuned to major sports or news channels.
• Notify the supervisor of any issues.
• Create a positive experience to encourage repeat business.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Bartender, you'll need:

• Prior experience in alcohol beverage service.
• Knowledge of liquor service standards, compliance laws, and responsible service techniques.
• The ability to complete alcohol service training.
• A working knowledge of acceptable forms of identification and the ability to identify altered or false IDs.
• Proficiency in counting money and making correct change.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to ring in orders and settle checks using a Point-of-Sale system.
• Proficiency in English.
• The ability to create a positive experience for guests to encourage repeat business.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 75 pounds.
