Salt, Turning Stone Enterprises' new fine-dining concept on the Crescent Hotel's seventh floor, seeks a Dining Room Supervisor to lead staff, ensure top-tier guest service, and manage daily F&B operations.

The role is salaried, with overtime eligibility, and starting salaries range from $50,000 to $55,000 per year. A high school diploma and previous supervisory and F&B experience are required.

• Trains and develops F&B employees, and manages shift schedules.
• Assists F&B staff at outlets as needed and monitors daily operations.
• Monitors inventory and orders F&B supplies to ensure availability.

We are seeking an experienced Dining Room Supervisor for our new restaurant concept, Salt. This elevated dining experience will redefine fine dining in Upstate New York, offering an exceptional menu and sweeping views from the seventh floor of the new Crescent Hotel. The restaurant will feature a seafood-focused menu and a signature raw bar. In addition to the main dining room, it will offer a spacious private dining room and heated terraces for outdoor dining beneath the glittering night sky.

What does a Dining Room Supervisor do?

• Supervises staff and maintains services levels. Consistently demonstrates outstanding guest service skills and always identifies repeat guests. Ensures staff is friendly and welcoming at all times.
• Maintains knowledge of F&B Operation’s internal functions, controls and software updates and takes the initiative to convey pertinent information to employees regarding policy changes.
• Ensures efficiency and accurate performance standards are met by maintaining communication with all work areas to verify paperwork and inventory controls.
• Demonstrates outstanding guest service skills and always identifies repeat guests.
• Maintains professional rapport and confidentiality in communicating with other departments as required by procedure (i.e. IT, Gaming Commission, Security, Surveillance, Games, Nation Police, Payroll, HR and Marketing).
• Takes responsibility for ensuring that employees are trained/developed in F&B Operations and monitors business flow to develop efficient training, break and shift schedules.
• Is always available to assist F&B employees at designated outlet locations as needed.
• Regularly monitors the inventory of all F&B supplies and orders supplies as needed.
• Remains current on daily and weekly bus schedules, tracks banquet event orders that may affect business.
• Understands and maintains the highest quality of food and service levels.

Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Previous supervisory and F&B experience required.
• Above average verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must possess computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must possess outstanding guest service skills.
• Previous money handling experience with basic math skills required.
• Ability to organize/prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and accommodate a flexible work schedule.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
