Job summary

Hyatt Tampa in downtown Tampa seeks a Bartender to join the Food & Beverage team. You will craft cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, greet guests, and take orders with a focus on hospitality.

Responsibilities include maintaining bar cleanliness, restocking, handling payments via POS, and ensuring safe, compliant beverage service in a dynamic hotel bar environment.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bartending certification preferred where applicable.
• Experience: minimum 1 year of bartending or high-volume bar experience.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and POS systems required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, multitasking ability.
• Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation; safe alcohol service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education High school diploma or equivalent required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Greet and engage guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
• Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
• Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
• Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
