Hyatt Indy seeks a skilled Bartender to craft cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service. You will greet guests, take orders, and recommend drinks in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

The role requires a tip-focused, customer-first attitude, bartending experience, and knowledge of spirits; state/local regulations and safety are essential. Bar cleanliness, accurate payments, and compliance with policies are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bartending certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of bartending or high-volume restaurant/bar experience.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and POS systems required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Strong cash-handling and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Greet and engage guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
• Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
• Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
• Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
