Job summary

Hyatt Indy in downtown Indianapolis is seeking a Bartender to mix cocktails, pour beer and wine, and deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced food and beverage setting.

You will greet guests, take orders, restock liquor and supplies, and ensure ID checks and responsible alcohol service. A high school diploma is required; bartending certification is a plus; 1 year of experience preferred; strong math and cash handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bartending certification preferred where applicable.
• Experience: minimum 1 year bartending or high-volume restaurant/bar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Greet guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
• Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
• Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
• Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
