Applicants should have at least three years in upscale hospitality, possess Serve Safe Food Handler and ABC cards, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork to ensure superb guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Set up mise en place for featured cocktails.

Position Purpose

The bartender prepares alcoholic beverages and nonalcoholic beverages to the guests in a timely fashion.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up the mise en place for the featured cocktails
• Ensure bar is stocked up
• Inform manager when items run low
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated at the bar
• Clear bar area after guests leave, take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
• Respond immediately and appropriately to guest requests
• Communicate with server, host and Maitre’ D to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest service
• Thank guests as they are leaving
• Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness and immaculate uniform presentation
• Be a team player; help out fellow staff whenever possible

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

• Effectively communicate
• Follow directions with focus to detail
• Work under minimal supervision
• Fulfill physical requirements of the job – carry/push cart with beverage heavy trays from time to time (40lb)
• Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

Experience and Certification

• At least three years in high volume, upscale restaurant or hotel
• Must possess current Serve Safe Food Handler Card and ABC card
