Job summary

Proof of the Pudding is seeking experienced Bartenders to join our Golf & Special Events team for on-site service at Presidents Cup in Medinah, IL. The role requires beertending experience, TIPs/TEAM certification, and a strong VIP service mindset. You will handle bar setup, guest service, and POS transactions during events.

The position is part-time hourly seasonal with potential for advancement. Uniforms are provided and a meal is included per shift.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of beertending/bartending experience required
  • TIPs/TEAM certification (will accept Team certification or training)
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required
  • Familiarity with Square POS is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down bar before and after events
  • Set up bar timely and ice down products
  • Communicate with bar back staff to replenish during shifts
  • Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service
  • Operate a point of sale system to process funds
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the bar
  • Record inventory and balance bar consumption with sales
  • Follow all alcohol policies and inventory controls
  • Work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Location: Presidents Cup - Medinah, IL 60157

Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly

Proof of the Pudding is seeking experienced Bartenders to join our Golf & Special Events team. Bartenders are responsible for product inventory, selling simple beverages, operating a point of sale system, following policies, and bar clean up post event.

Work assignments and tasks can change daily based on the immediate needs of the event.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for both pre & post bar set-up/breakdown responsibilities.
  • Sets bar up in a timely manner, including icing down product.
  • Communicates well with bar back personnel during the event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
  • Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
  • Operations a point of sale system to collect funds.
  • Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
  • Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
  • Record closing inventory used to balance bar consumption vs sales.
  • Responsible for putting away all inventory as directed.
  • Follows all federal, local, and venue alcohol policies.
  • Assist in overseeing inventory control, request more product as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
  • Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of beertending/bartending experience
  • Must be TIPs/TEAM certified (will accept Team certification or will provide training).
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
  • Familiarity with Square POS is preferred

Work Environment

The work environment for this position may be indoors, outdoors, or in temporary structures. This position will often move throughout the grounds and venue on different terrains.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting up-to 30 pounds.
