Job summary

Proof of the Pudding is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our team at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. This part-time position involves responsible bar set-up and delivery of exceptional customer service during events.

With a pay range of $12-$15/hour plus tips, you will engage with guests while ensuring timely service in a busy event environment. Ideal candidates have bartending experience and a passion for providing high-quality service.

Job Location: Citizens Bank Park - Philadelphia, PA 19148

Proof of the Pudding has spent the past four decades providing innovative menus, services, design expertise and event experiences to clients in Sports & Entertainment. We are partnered with the Phillies providing elevated food service in the Press/Media area and Executive Dining location.

We are currently seeking an experienced Bartender to join the Proof of the Pudding team at Citizens Bank Park. This is seasonal/part‑time work as business needs are dictated by events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for both pre & post bar set‑up/break down responsibilities.
  • Sets bar up in a timely manner.
  • Communicates well with bar back during event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
  • Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
  • Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
  • Provides accurate and timely service.
  • Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
  • Responsible for placing all items back in bar box as originally received.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent; additional certification in mixology or hospitality is a plus.
  • 2+ years of bartending experience preferred.
  • Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator.
  • Must be experienced in preparing mixed drinks.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain proper certifications.
  • Must be extremely hardworking and organized.
  • Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
  • Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
Specialized Qualifications
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
  • Renowned time management and organization skills.
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
  • The ability to work alone and as a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Must have impeccable integrity for the business, the community, and the Proof of the Pudding team.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be event operations and working out of Chase Stadium.

Uniform Requirements

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of moving through an event space, and traveling throughout the stadium.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
