Job summary

Proof of the Pudding in Atlanta is seeking an energetic, part-time bartender to support events at GA Tech and other venues. This role requires superb customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced concessions environment.

You will handle bar setup and breakdown, manage guest needs, and contribute to an upscale VIP service standard. The job offers a $18 hourly wage, daily meals per shift, and opportunities for advancement within a growing team.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bartending experience.
  • Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • TIPs certification or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles.

Responsibilities

  • Pre- and post-event bar setup and breakdown.
  • Set up the bar promptly.
  • Communicate with bar back for replenishment during shifts.
  • Greet guests and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Attend to guest needs throughout the event.
  • Clean bar after closing and discard excess ice.
  • Return items to their bar boxes as received.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for both pre & post bar set-up/break down responsibilities.
  • Sets bar up in a timely manner.
  • Communicates well with bar back during event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
  • Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
  • Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
  • Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
  • Responsible for placing all items back in bar box as originally received.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications (Education and/or Experience)
  • 2+ years of bartending experience
  • Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator.
  • Experienced in preparing mixed drinks is preferred.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must be TIPs certified (will accept similar accredited certifications).
  • Must be extremely hardworking and organized.
  • Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
  • Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
  • Renowned time management and organization skills.
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be event operations and working out of the Football Stadium or similar venues. This position will often move throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits

This is considered a part‑time hourly position. Scheduled will fluctuate based on business needs.

Free meal while working.

This is mainly a concessions bar position. Tipping is optional for guests.
