Job summary

Avera on Louise Health Campus is hiring for a Food Service Associate to prepare hot and cold beverages and assist with catering and Doctor’s Lounge. You will support the retail area with food preparation and ensure quality, sanitation, and efficiency across shifts.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year related experience or training, with an associate’s degree preferred. Expect day shifts, some weekends and holidays, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, hear and understand speech; strong visual acuity to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold beverages to standards.
• Meets standards for food preparation, sanitation and efficiency.
• Delivers products according to schedule for each item.
• Makes menu recommendations to Food and Nutrition Services.
• Performs daily cleaning according to approved standards.
• Delivers excellent customer service using scripts from Food and Nutrition Services.
• Accurate cash handling and change reconciliation.

Position Highlights

Monday- Friday 6:00am-2:30pm and 7:00am-3:30pm; 80 hours 2 weeks

A Brief Overview

Preparation of a variety of coffee beverages. Some preparation and cooking of foods for the retail area. Assists with catering and Doctor’s Lounge.

What you will do

• Prepares hot and cold beverages to standards set by Food and Nutrition Services.
• Meets standards established by Food and Nutrition Services for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Delivers all products according to the schedule set for the specific item.
• Makes recommendations to Food and Nutrition Services for all menus.
• Completes daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards.
• Responsible for delivering excellent customer service by utilizing the appropriate scripts developed for Food and Nutrition Services.
• Accurate cash handling and reconciliation of change due to customers.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
