Job summary

Avera Gregory Hospital in the United States is seeking a Regular food service teammate to help provide quality patient meals through snack and meal assembly, service, and cleanup.

You will prepare and organize items, serve according to diet and menu requirements, and keep work areas clean and sanitized while supporting a multidisciplinary team. Shift options include day, evening, weekend and holiday work.

Qualifications

• The role requires the ability to follow diet and menu requirements.
• Ability to work in a hospital kitchen environment.
• Must be able to wear required PPE and operate kitchen equipment safely.

Position Highlights

Shift times: 6am-2:30pm, 8:30am-5pm & 11:30am-8pm (you'd work some of each shift) + Every other Weekend/Holiday

A Brief Overview

Helps provide quality customer meals through snack and meal assembly, service, and cleanup. Assist with meal service activities.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and organize assigned food items efficiently and accurately for patients and other customers.
• Serve food items in accordance with diet, specifications and menu requirements.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, dishes, pots/pans, floor mats, floors, and work areas following proper procedure.
• Stocks storerooms, refrigerators and work areas with supplies using first in, first out principle and appropriate dating.
• Operates dish machine and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• May work the register, close out register and counts money. Properly places money and money drawer in designated location.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

• High School or GED Equivalent
• One to six months of food service experience
