Job summary

Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ is seeking a patient-care oriented technician to provide support to physicians and nurses. Responsibilities include performing EKGs, finger-stick glucose, phlebotomy, wound care, vital signs, and assisting with materials management in accordance with procedures.

The role involves applying orthopedic splints, post-suture dressings, and assisting patients with crutch fitting, under supervision. CPR certification and hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification.
• Recent hospital experience or active credentialing from AAMA/NCCT/AMT/NAHP/NCMA.
• Experience with phlebotomy, EKG, basic emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to physicians and nurses and assist in direct and indirect patient care.
• Perform EKGs, finger-stick glucose, phlebotomy, wound care and vital signs recording.
• Assist with orthopedic splints, post-suture dressings, and crutch fitting.
