Valley Health System is seeking a patient-focused assistant to provide direct and indirect care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and vital signs, under guidance from physicians and nurses.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and relevant clinical experience or credentials from recognized organizations. Strong teamwork and quick response to emergencies are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with CPR card/certification.
• Current and active certification from a credentialing body such as AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, AMCA, NAHP or NCMA.
• Experience in phlebotomy/EKG and basic emergency care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care including EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Record vital signs and assist with basic wound care and dressings.
• Assist with crutch fitting and applying orthopedic splints as directed.
• Support physicians and nurses with equipment, supplies, and documentation.
